The Intership Navigation Training Center (ISNTC) held its 12^th Maritime Resource Management – Communication, Conflict Management and Professional Assertiveness (MRM-COMPASS) Seminar last October 22-24 with 18 participants from both deck and engine departments.

The 3-day seminar aimed to enhance the participants’ leadership and decision-making skills, their ability to deal with conflicts arising on board and to resolve these challenges assertively and professionally. A series of case studies, classroom discussions, self and peer assessments, and actual use of hi-tech simulations of ship voyages were among the activities used to meet these goals.

This MRM – COMPASS is offered by ISNTC to senior officers.
